Bliss explores a search for meaning, emotional vulnerability, and ambition through the relationship between two brotherse. Between the abstract, the philosophical, and the social, Nathan navigates his desire for connection. With this film, I aim to provoke a dialogue on meaning making in times of individualisation, and argue for the importance of vulnerability among adolescents.

A digital afterlife could be a mainstream product sooner than we may think. Found footage of real afterlife start-ups and the fictional story of Ava intertwine to tell a story of the fear of death, and the way in which a growing industry capitalises on it. What is the meaning of life if death is seen as a problem that can be solved?

Many of history’s heroes are men, but so are its writers. In an interactive film, the audience is put in the shoes of a WWII female resistance fighter, and can choose to what extent they take part in the resistance through increasingly harder choices. At the end, their choices are linked to the personal stories of real resistance women.

What does it feel like to experience your reality falling apart? A woman gets lost in the construct of her psychosis as the boundary between experience and fiction starts to blur. Through non-linear story-telling, the audience becomes immersed in the mind of a person suffering from schizophrenia.

A film observer becomes part of a surreal filmic world embodied by Rotterdam as a reflection of the protagonist, and, confronted by their resemblance, tries to outrun him. Eventually, the line between character and observer fades as the observer accepts their similarity.Through experimental and surreal sounds and visuals, The Chase explores the confrontational power of the surrealist film.

Designed for Rotterdam The Hague's ultrawide screen, 'City in motion' combines dance, architecture, film, and animation to explore the connection between the human and the city. It questions whether the city is ‘alive’, and if Rotterdam and its buildings could be seen as a breathing organism, interacting with its inhabitants - not just in an overwhelming, but also in a meditative sense.

What does it feel like to get lost in the crowd? Sounds of the city consists of a dance performance and music based on this feeling and the sounds of the city. The soundtrack is created from sounds recorded in the Rotterdam public transport system, some of which are turned into instruments.

Chapter 7 is an autobiographical documentary about the search for the recognition of brain injury. Indra (22), who has been trying for five years to rebuild her life after the consequences of an accident, lives daily with headaches, dizziness, and aphasia, but is told by doctors that “nothing can be seen.” Through a glimpse into Indra’s life, it becomes visible how she navigates her symptoms, the healthcare system, and the acceptance of her disability.
